- In the S13 class, Dzmitry Salei from Belarus set a new world record in the final of the men’s 100m butterfly with his time of 58.89 seconds.
- In the S4 class, Patricia Valle from Mexico set a new world record in Heat 1 of the women’s 100m freestyle event with her time of 2:03.82 minutes.
